Registration Process


Before you can work as a nurse or midwfie in Australia you need to be registered. Registration is managed by each individual state registration board / council. Throughout Australia and New Zealand there is a mutual recognition policy, which means that your registrtion will be recognised in other states, thus making ongoing registration a streamlined process.

Our recruitment process involves a combination of:
  • Interview
  • Referee checks - minimum of 2 clinical referees
  • Credential and competency checks
  • Criminal record Clearance - from your home country and completed within the last 6 months

Tax File Number
Anyone that receives a wage in Australia must have a Tax FIle Number. To obtain a Tax File Number, complete and online application via the ATO website www.ato.gov.au

Bank Account
We will pay you directly into your bank account. there are a number of banks where you can set up your account. Some banks will even allow you to set up a bank account prior to your arrival in Australia. make sure you set your bank account up within 90 days of arriving in Australia, that way you will only need your passport as identification. After this time, you will have to provide additional forms of indentification, which may be difficult to source.
